TUSCULUM FOOTBALL HOSTS SUCCESSFUL COMBINE

 

                GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Tusculum College hosted a high school football combine on the Greeneville campus Monday.

 

Over 140 students, representing nine states (Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, West Virginia and Alabama) were in attendance with their parents and prep coaches for a full day of agility tests and drills at Tennessee’s oldest college.

 

                “This is a very talented group of young men who were with us today,” said Tusculum head coach Frankie DeBusk.  “I was very impressed with the size and speed of the student-athletes.  I hope these young men picked up something positive from this experience.”

 

                “Student-athletes and their families toured the Tusculum campus, while the players were timed in the 40-yard dash, the shuttle and vertical jump drills.

 

                Tusculum College, located in Greeneville, Tenn., is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is a NCAA Division II member of the South Atlantic Conference which is comprised of nine colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
